Gratitude, Part II

This post is almost a week overdue, but at least I’m finally getting around to it. First, I think I need to thank my cousin Niki, and take a moment to say…”Woo hoo!”  It has been nearly 2 years now since I moved to this blog site, and with my last post, I received my first comment here.  Yay!

Okay, enough of that.  On to the good news….As I’m sure you’ll recall, last week I was recounting the story of my eventful trip down to the coast.  I really had to work at keeping a positive attitude, and still now when I get to thinking or talking about it, I have to work at not wanting to bad-mouth the airline and complain about my experience.  What did help though was recounting the list of things I had to be thankful for in the situation.

I’m happy to say, I have one more big one to add to the list:

The chocolate that John had waiting for me was in the form of chocolate diamonds in my engagement ring.  My first night there, we went for a sunset walk on the beach, and he proposed!  (FYI, I said yes.  Actually, I believe my exact words were “Of course I will!”)

After our trip to the beach that morning, I’d already decided the trip was more than worth the travel troubles.  But becoming engaged was the chocolate icing on the proverbial cake.

God, You are so good!  Please don’t ever let me forget to thank You for the many blessings in my life!
